Every story has a beginning. The story of God we find our place in naturally begins with God. A God, scripture tells us, who is one God (monotheism) existing in three persons as father, son and spirit in perfect community. We believe scripture, the bible, is revelation from God, supernaturally given to us through human authors. It tells the story of God which explains all of human history.

In the beginning... scripture tells us the story of God's creation, culminating with Adam & Eve. Their uniqueness was seen in their special relationship with God filled with perfect intimacy, oneness and free will.

It did not take long for Adam & Eve to disobey God, sin and experience their once beautiful relationship now filled with jealously, blame, pain and brokenness. Immediately everything changed. Guilt settled in, fear showed up and people began to run & blame others because of their problems. Sin brought ugliness, pain and brokenness to what was beautiful, meaningful and whole.

God didn't leave Adam and Eve alone in their brokenness and sin. He pursued them and provided for them. He provided clothing, shelter, and a new beginning. Further he demonstrated his love for all people by choosing Israel to be his hands, feet & voice to the surrounding nations. They were to take the hope of reconciliation with God to all people. This hope of reconciliation became realized through the person of Jesus. His perfect life & horrible death broke the power and hold of sin. Jesus, the perfect God-man sacrificed his life so that sin would be destroyed and we would be forever reunited with our God. In Jesus' life, death & resurrection forgiveness becomes reality, hope takes on new meaning, and love becomes the single greatest force in the world. We believe that all who trust Jesus through faith as the sacrifice for their sins are reunited with God. This begins a new and resorted relationship that continues throughout eternity.

We believe this new life is lived through God's spirit whom he gives to those who have placed faith in Jesus. By his spirit we are being wholly transformed & restored into his image.

As a church we believe we are called to live communally on mission with God in the way of Jesus. We believe one day Jesus will return, creation's groaning will cease, pain will go away, death will be no more and God will gather all that are his to live in his presence forever. Until that day, we journey together as a missional community so people and cultures are redeemed, restored with God and transformed into a new way of life & living.
