values
The values that we, as a community, have identified are more than good intentions. They define both the people we believe we are called to be and the ways in which we are called to live. While these values certainly guide our lives as individuals, they also provide the means for guiding all we do as a gathered community.
Christ-centered in faith: Our faith is based upon a relationship with God through Jesus. As a community we will seek after the truth God has revealed in his word (John 17:17) and person of Jesus (John 14:6). Through prayer we regularly commune with Him and worship Him as a lifestyle.
Missional in philosophy: We desire to bring the person of Jesus to our culture so it can be redeemed and transformed. We also recogonize our need for Jesus to redeem and continually transform us. Our philosophy is to love people by going to them rather than asking them to come to us.
Relational in approach: Being relational keeps people at the center of all programs and ministries, which seems to be the model of Jesus (John 3:22). We are learning to come together as a community "face-to-face" and live love in the way of Jesus (John 17:18).
Holistic in nature: We believe we are to be a unified body (Rom. 12:4-8) bringing generations together in community. Together we seek to integrate our lives and faith while ministering to the whole person (emotionally, physically, spiritually, and psychologically).
Simple in structure: Our simple structure has few layers of leadership with more community participation (Philippians 1:1-2). All leadership serves from the posture of a shepherd (John 10; Acts 20:28) with organic processes as our way to strategize.
