"God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." No statment makes it clearer to me that God is God and I am not. I know better than anyone else (except God) the darkness in me.
God is light...God is holy. He is absolutely pure, absolutely clean, perfect light.
Pride comes before the fall because pride says, "I have no sin" which ironically only leads to more sin, darkness & falsehood.
Jesus in humility and brokenness cleanse me, renew me, transform me that the way of righteousness would be my way.
