second sunday in lent

It's great to be able to journey together in community. Tonight as we looked at the way of Jesus I was really challenged in how I follow Jesus. This whole time of lent is about preparation. Tonight I had to ask myself, "Am I prepared to follow Jesus in the way he demands?" This way of Jesus is about all of me following all of him.
It was refreshing to think differently about the cost of following Jesus. It's so important to realize that following Jesus costs my life period...and everything else is incidental (even death). I know I have gained a better understanding/awareness of what it means to give my life to Jesus & follow all of him with all of me. May we live in the freedom that comes from being totally, completely his.
